Requirements
Proof of your identity:
1. Original or copy of your birth certificate and photo ID.
2. Proof of civil status:
○ Single: No document
○ Divorced: A certified copy of the divorce certificate or a certified copy of the irrevocable divorce judgement.
○ Widow: Original or copy of the couple’s death certificate.
3. Documents of foreign civil status:
If your documents are of foreign origin,they will only be accepted in English or French, if they are in another language you must provide the official translation of a member of the OTTIAQ.
4. Two witnesses.
Important notice
According to the law, the notice of dissemination of the marriage must be published 20 days in advance of the date scheduled for the celebration, on the website of the Director of the civil status.
